Lucas Tuazon

Dr. Lucas Tuazon received his DMA (Doctor of Musical Arts) in Music Composition from the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the tutelage of Dr. Laura Schwendinger and a minor in Music Theory with Dr. Brian Hyer. His focus of study was writing music that was deliberately composed to be accompanied by food. The intersection of music and food is bound by historical context, but Lucas brings a fresh perspective to the notion in the 21st-century. He is also keen to utilize his music as a means of political discourse, often creating allegories within it. Lucas is also passionate about education, specifically in the field of Music Theory, believing that the subject is outrageously fun, and tries to make it so for his students.
